Crystal River 1/2 day Trout. June. 23rd 2011 Featured

P6230586I had a one angler 1/2 day charter today out of Crystal River. Mark was on board and ready to catch a few fish. We started out the morning trying a few locations in hopes of a snook, but there were no takers today. However, we did catch a few mangrove snapper and jacks to get warmed up. Next we ran offshore to the deeper spotty bottom areas and jigged up some trout. The trout bite was pretty good and we caught several keepers and released more shorts than we could count. The DOA holographic root beer shrimp was today's bait of choice. It was just after noon, and we called it a day. Thanks Mark for the fun morning and look forward to our next trip... Capt. Dan
