The good weather has returned and just in time for the 4th of July weekend. John, Krista and Shaun met me at Pete's Pier this morning and the group was ready to catch some fish. We ran offshore and spent the majority of the day targeting trout. Using DOA holographic root beer shrimp, new penny gulps; the crew put 10 beautiful trout in the cooler and released numerous under slot trout throughout the day. The usual suspects for the mixed bag were also keeping us busy including sharks, sea bass, lady fish, blue fish etc... With enough fish for the fish dinner, we made a stop in the creeks and picked up a perfect 26" red fish to end the day. Returning back to the dock was a bit of a challenge with all the holiday boat traffic, but we eventually made it back to the marina.
