A great mixed bag today on the North side of Crystal River. Mishel and Earl met me at Pete's Pier and fishing the last couple hours of the outgoing tide, the bite was on. We anchored up, and immediately landed a mixed bag including red fish, snook, flounder, black drum, mangrove snapper and a bonus cobia. Just a simple rig of live shrimp on a jig head was today's bait of choice. The conditions were excellent and a cool NE breeze made for a comfortable morning.
