Gene and Linda joined me again for a 1/2 day Crystal River charter and they brought their grandsons along to sample some saltwater fishing. The wind was blowing pretty good out of the south, so we stayed close to shore and targeted some shallow ledges. Mangrove snapper, sea bass, a cobia and numerous grouper kept our rods bent throughout the morning. Actually, the grouper bite was outstanding and even though they were under slot sized fish, we had them on two, three at a time. I estimated releasing well over 30 grouper on two locations, until we ran out of shrimp. Lots of action and everyone did great. Thank you for the fun morning and here is Jordon with a mangrove snapper from today's trip... Capt. Dan
