The gag groupers were the stars of the day and Frank, Bill and Bo all caught their share. I met the guys at the Homosassa Fishing Club house and we ran out the main river, with our next stop being the offshore rock piles. Plenty of action as we fished the various structures and numerous grunts, snapper, sea bass and mackerel filled the cooler. However, the big bites of the day were all the grouper. We caught numerous gags and a couple hefty ones at that. I'll admit, we did get lucky turning them away form the rocks with our light tackle, but my crew fought them perfect. Once again, just a live shrimp on a 1/8thoz Hank Brown jig head was the bait of choice. Great job today gentleman and look forward to seeing you soon.
