After cancelling and rescheduling the last several days due to torrential rains, it was great to be back on the water. The Morrissey family joined me today out of Pete's Pier for a 1/2 day Crystal River charter. We began working the deeper spotty bottom grass patches in 10ft of water and catching several trout. The water was quite dirty due to the recent rains, but it didn't seem to affect the trouts appetite. We put a couple keepers in the cooler and our next stop was to add some grunts, snapper, flounder, etc... to the mix. With the tide running in and the West wind, made for anchoring a breeze and shortly it was fish on. We caught our mixed bag and called it a day.
