A Red Fish First. Aug. 14th 2011 Featured

P8140703What a difference a day can make. Yesterday was a beautiful day, but no breeze and it was hot! Today's welcomed 10-15 mph west breeze, made for a comfortable day on the water. My anglers on board joining me for Sunday, were Josh and Halsey and the guys were ready for a full day out of Homosassa. The trout bite was off quite a bit, due to the choppy conditions. However, we did pickup several silver trout, which we normally find to the North off Crystal River, and it was a welcomed surprise. The tide was getting right around noon to hunt some red fish, and that's how we spent the afternoon. Targeting the outside points, we caught several red fish with some being below the slot, in the slot and a over slot big bull. It was a great weekend and I thank the whole group for a fun time. Here's Josh and Halsey with their red fish that actually ate both their baits and brought in together. This was a first for me and made for a great story... Capt. Dan
