This was the day I've been waiting for! Perfect tides and calm seas made for ideal conditions to make our run offshore to the 20ft range and see whats happening. Jim, Michelle and James joined me out of Pete's Pier for a full day of outstanding offshore action. Grouper after grouper, grunts, snapper, cobia, mackerel, sea bass, flounder etc.. were the species today. It was truly about as good as it gets. Using live shrimp on a 1/8th oz Hank Brown jig head in the chartreuse color was our tackle of choice. With a cooler full of fish and the summer heat pounding down mid afternoon, we called it a day.
