20 Mph Trout. Oct. 7th 2011 Featured

PA070816Wow, the windy conditions continue to blow here in Homosassa! We fished the Turman party today out of the Homosassa Fishing Club and the fishing was very good, considering the conditions.  A steady 20mph east wind limited us where we could safely fish, but working the shallow yellow bottom areas with kelp grass produced some quality trout. John, Jimmy and Lewis were my crew members and the guys did great. The tide never made it high enough to comfortably red fish, so we continued trout fishing and did well. Using Mirrolure Lil' Johns and DOA holographic root beer shrimp kept us busy with numerous shorts and several keeper trout. It was a windy and rough day and I thank you for fishing so hard in the tough conditions. Here's our catch for the day... Capt. Dan
