Today was the 2011 annual Cotton State Insurance group trip held out of Macrae's on the Homosassa River and the fishing was fantastic. I had Corey, Matt and Brad on board and these gentlemen had an outstanding day. We began the day catching trout after trout and for a couple hours, we caught and released well over a hundred fish. Using the MirrOlure Lil' Johns in the root beer color was the absolute go to bait. We put sixteen keeper trout in the cooler and around 1pm, the tide was right for trying our luck at some red fish. It only took one location and the crew boated 9 red fish; we kept our four and released the others to fight another day. Our groups total weight for the end of the day was 41lbs and I thank you all for the great time... Capt. Dan
