Crystal River Grouper Galore. Nov. 3rd 2011 Featured

PB030927Once again, what a difference the weather can make for fishing. Yesterday, breezy conditions and today, it was a beautiful day as one could hope for. I had the Powers' family on board out of Pete's Pier Marina and I was rigged for the inshore and offshore species. Running out the Salt River and noticing ideal offshore conditions, we were grouper bound. I haven't tried my North locations and with the calm seas and much cleaner water, I knew it was going to be fantastic. Trolling the 15ft depth range and using Rapala x-raps, the grouper bite was spectacular. Having our eight fish limit and several over 12lbs, all I can say is "what a wonderful day."  We picked up a few trout on the way in to finish out the great day and I thank you all very much... Capt.
