Homosassa Trout...

Written by
Just a fun day out of Homosassa in the Silver King with the wife. We got an "early" start and left from Macrae's just before noon, but really left that late to fish the tide. We ran through the little Homosassa on a very low tide and began just working the shallow drop offs around the exposed rock bars. Armed with DOA glow jerk baits, we caught and released some beautiful Homosassa trout. I spent four hours on the poling platform poling the creeks and some saw some really large trout in the upper 20" range. The red fish were scarce, with only seeing a couple and we could only make one interested in eating. A fun afternoon and always enjoy watching the Mrs.'s catch a few... Capt. Dan
