Still Chilly Trout....

Written by
Winter is still trying to hang on and today was another cold one. Tim and Kathy were my guests today out of Crystal River and Kathy traveled all the way from Texas to catch some trout. The condition's weren't ideal and we kept our heavy jackets on all day. The action wasn't fast and furious, but we caught a couple keepers to secure dinner. Tim caught a nice pompano to start us off and that's always a welcomed catch. We used an assortment of jigs and jerkbaits and all seemed to work about the same. The wind really picked up in the afternoon and by then, the bite shut down for us and we called it a day. I thank you both for the fun time and really enjoyed the day with you. Here's Kathy with her biggest trout to date... Capt. Dan
