Crystal River, A little Variety....

Written by
Still tough fishing right now with the hot water temperatures, big tide and the bait shops out of shrimp, but we managed to catch a little variety. Today's guests were Bill, Christy and Adam and we spent most of the day jumping from grass patch to grass patch catching a few trout. We would hit a little group here and there, but we encountered mostly shorts and only a couple keepers. We left the trout grind and tried our luck on a couple rock piles and caught some beautiful sea bass, a few grouper and a grunt to add to the mix. With two hours of the tide coming in, we made a couple last minute stops on a few red fish points. We sure had them on, but the oyster bars got the best of us today. I thank you all fun time and always look forward to our charters. Here's Adam and his great grandpa Bill with a couple of today's trout... Capt. Dan
