Corey's Tarpon....

A fun day with Corey on board and he found the tarpon he was looking for. We set up, made a couple long drifts and had our opportunity to make it happen. We used DOA bait busters and the right fish made his day. He fought the fish beautifully and a tarpon is now off his bucket list and a fiberglass replica will be in his home. A great day and I thank you... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Reds...

Hello everyone, well our cobia trip turned into a redfish trip for Dennis and Nathan. I took a quick break in the tarpon action and mixed it up a bit. Unfortunately it was just to rough to go offshore to where I needed to and the gumbo slime was horrible covering our baits; which made dropping baits down offshore impossible. So, we changed gears and ran inshore and did well on the red fish. We free lined live pinfish in the mullet schools and caught a nice limit of reds and released some little guys too. There's always a plan B and it worked out for us today.... Capt. Dan

Tarpon Season....

Hello everyone, I just wanted to check in and say I've mostly been fly fishing for tarpon the last couple weeks. Weather has been a huge factor lately with this relentless gusty East wind we've been having. Some days it's fishable, some not so much. There's not a bunch of fish around, but we have been jumping a few and having some shots on the fly. I beleive next week condtions will improve and we'll be able so see whats going on out there. I'll see you on the big pond soon.... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Reds....

Some red fish for Greg and Tom on today's trip and this father and son team did well. We started out trout jigging and caught several under slot fish, but no keepers for us today. The tide was coming good though and we did just fine on the inside. A couple nice snook, fought a whopper of a tiger shark for a bit and finished the day with a limit of lower slot red fish. A nice little variety for the guys and I thank you... Capt. Dan

15 MPH Trout....

Another windy one on the big pond and it was a steady 15mph South wind all day. Scotty and Greg were my team and they did really well. We jigged in the 8ft range with MirrOlure Lil' Johns and found a fine limit of trout. The tide wasn't really good for much on the inside, so we called it a day with a fine catch... Capt. Dan

The rain got us today, but we had some fun before we got wet. I had the Weeks family on board and they had a ball. We started the trip putting a couple nice trout on ice and quality fish as well. I knew we didn't have a bunch of time before the weather hit us, so there was enough tide to run inshore and let the team all catch there first snook. The snook action was great and everyone caught a couple. The rain chased us in and we had a fun one. I thank you all and here's Em with her first snook... Capt. Dan

Breezy Trout...

A breezy one out there for Chuck and Rena and we did well on the trout. The tide was a weak one today so for sure fire action, I said lets do the trout plan. Well, it worked out really well and we had a limit by 11am using Lil' Johns. I did make a stop inshore and Rena caught her first snook, but just not enough tide movement to get the red fish going. I thank you both and great catch... Capt. Dan
