Shallow Gags...

A great grouper trip with Jim and Dan on board and we stayed shallow and got the gags. It was a surprisingly cool day for June this morning and I actually wore my jacket on the way out. We reached our bait traps, loaded the live well and went fishing. All we did was just jump from ledge to ledge dropping down pin fish and in no time, we secured a fine limit of quality grouper and released several others too. The team did awesome and I thank you both... Capt. Dan

Good Gags....

A really good one, but it was a hot one with Gibbs and J. D. on board from Illinois. We got a jump on the day, pulled our traps and headed West. I made just two stops and the guys did a really fine job turning some good gags. Live pin fsh were the deal and just a couple pull offs, as most of the fish we hooked came to the boat. Enjoy the grouper dinners and I'll see you next time... Capt. Dan

Grouper, Snook & Cobia...

A really great day offshore with Steve on board and he was all by himself to enjoy the day. We caught awesome fish bottom fishing with nice gags, keeper cobia and some whopper spawning snook. Live pinfish was the deal, and for his first trip offshore, he had a great one. Thank you for the fun time and hope to see you next time.... Capt. Dan

A great start to the summer/fall grouper season and Bob and Nancy were the team. The weather man was wrong today, as it was a bumpy one; so we stayed inside and found our gags. No plugs today as the grass is terrible, so live pin fish did the trick. We found four nice keepers, brought a couple hundred pound jewfish boat side and had a fun one. I thank you both and great job... Capt. Dan

Will the wind ever stop!!!! Well, it kind of did today and I was about to make it offshore, but it was bumpy. I had Chris on board by himself and we had a ton of fun. We caught some really nice grouper, small cobia and then hit the snook. My intention was to try for a cobia, but just one little guy; but there were tons of grouper around. The snook bite for the afternoon was superb and we totaled about a dozen, before we called it a day. A fun day buddy and I thank you.... Capt. Dan

Hello everyone, well today I had the pleasure of filming an episode of Florida Sportsman Watermen with Sam and Cameron and it's going to be a good one. I don't want to give away to much, but we totaled over 50 gag groupers for the day and It was some really awesome action. It should air sometime in June and be sure to check this one out. Thank you all....Capt. Dan

Awesome Team....

What an awesome team with Carrie, Sabrina and Ashley on board and these ladies came to play. We did a mix offshore and inshore and the ladies stayed busy. Some of the best cobia action I've seen in a while, with 5 coming on board and some beauty gags too. A 32" cobia and a hefty gag grouper got eaten by a jew fish boat side, which added to a long tug of war. The tide was topping off inshore, so we hit a couple points and caught some really nice snook and a couple red fish to add to the already awesome trip. You all were great and terrific job... Capt. Crystal River Snook....

Another great day on the Racin' mullets with long time friend Matt and his grandson Rhett. We mixed it up today with some grouper and snook action. Getting groceries weren't the main concern, so we just had some fun pulling on fish. I set the guys up on a shallow ledge and four nice gags came on board for a picture and release. Next up we ran inshore, hit a school of snook and had a really great afternoon. Everybody was happy and I thank you both for the great day... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Reds...

Not to many options for us today with the stiff West wind, but we made something happen. I had Phil and his sons on board and we tried for cobia to start off, but it was just to rough to really give it a go. A couple real nice gags kept us busy for a bit, but no cobia on the couple stops we fished. So, for plan B, they guys and I red fished the afternoon big tide and caught a few using live pin fish to seal the deal. We made the best of a tough day and I thank you all... Capt. Dan

Mom's Birthday...

A special happy birthday to my mom today as I took her and my brother out. We had a super fun day catching a great mix. Yesterday I was offshore with the Villages team and we had a great day with lots of action. I didn't take one picture, "I'm sorry guys", but we had some nice mango's and released lots of gags and undersized hogfish. Today though, was really great and just fun being with my family. They're all I have and they have been there for me when I've needed them most. Good grouper on the rocks, a cobia, triple tail and several snook - it was a fun day and Happy Birthday.... Capt. Dan
