Uncle Phil's in Town...

Many of you have been following me for quite sometime and the second week of October, Phil comes to town. Well, today was day one and we had a blast. Grouper, red fish and trout filled out the day and he sure is fun to fish with. He brought along his family friend Chris today and they both tackled some fin gags. I went down South again and in short order we had a really nice limit. The weather improved greatly today and looks good for the weekend forecast. Phil has three more days on board, so we'll see what we can do... Cap. Dan

Fitzpatrick Mix...

A really fun day with the Fitzpatrick team and the family did awesome. It was Trace's 10th birthday and he wanted to go fishing. Well, this young man did very well catching some really nice red fish. right out of the gate this morning. We landed around fifteen or so, plus a decent snook and finished up the day with a pair of really nice gags. You all did fantastic and I thank you... Capt. Dan

Hands down as rough as it gets to still do a grouper charter today and my team of Shane, Bart and Nathan were hanging in tough, to get it done. Well, the day started by pulling bait traps and heading West to troll a bit; but unfortunately it was just to rough to get it done - so we headed inshore. The inshore action was good with a limit of red fish, some sheepshead and trout; but I was itching to get back out to some grouper spots. I stayed shallow in 6ft to 8ft of water and the guys did great turning four really nice grouper in no time. It definitely was a challenging one today, but I thank you all and great job... Capt. Dan

Way South Gags...

A tremendous day with the Clements family and this father and son team did so great. We pulled our bait traps first thing this morning and we started the day inshore red fishing and did well. The guys each caught there keeper reds and we soon headed way South to grouper land. I haven't been to my Bay port numbers yet this year, but when we arrived it was spectacular. In less than fifteen minutes we had six beautiful gag in ice and Myself and the team could only say "WOW".... A great day and I thank you all... Capt. Dan

Monday Mix...

A mix on the board today with the Sans team out of Crystal River and Toad, Rusty and Tony did great. I had a late take off due to some electrical issues, but got them resolved soon enough. We did a bit of red fishing and did well, while finishing up tackling a couple real nice gags. It was a bumpy one again and I'll sure be happy when the seas clam down a bit. I thank you guys for everything today... Capt. Dan

Morning Reds...

Some morning red fish action today with Sue and Debbie on board out of Crystal River. It's been a while since I've been out from all the wind Dorian brought us, but today was the last of the breezy conditions for a while. I stayed inshore and hit the keys with cut bait for our red fish. We caught a limit of reds and tried a while for a snook, but no takers today. I thank you both and I'll see you next time... Capt. Morning Reds & Afternoon Gags...

Not a super hot bite today and the big change in wind direction is to blame. The steady SW to W wind we've had lately change to the N to NW today and it changed the tide and fish activity. It was blowing pretty good, so first stop grouper was not an option, so we hit the outer points and caught a couple red fish. Shane, Danny and Nathan were my team and they caught a couple slot reds and numerous little guys for the first part of the trip. There was little to no mullet activity and this was a huge indication the day was going to be a bit tough. Around 11ish, the winds backed off enough to make a grouper run, but I stayed shallow and fished the 8ft depth of water range. We turned a couple keepers and some shorts for the afternoon. A good time with you all and here's Danny with his big gag of the day... Capt. Dan

Fun Time....

Always a super fun time with Alyse, Amanda and Tom. The father and daughter team did a terrific job catching some nice reds on the outer keys and knocking down some grouper before the rain storms. The reds were in a small school and actually myself and Capt, Mario Costello worked as a team, bouncing the red fish in between us. We made a couple quick stops on a couple ledges and turned three really nice grouper to wrap up our day. I thank you all and always look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

Good Gags & Reds...

Some more fun on the red fish and grouper and Shane was my solo guest today out of Crystal River. Not to much to report in change from the last three days. We experienced some great red fishing on the falling tide and hot grouper action on some ledges. I will say for today, the gags were wound up and they were hitting as hard as I've seen them. It was like it was November with them being so aggressive. Shane did great turning them and I always enjoy the day with you.... Capt. Dan

Reds &Gags...

Another great day with Brian and Bobby and this father and son team had a great day. For this Crystal River charter, it was an absolute identical trip as to yesterdays trip. Great red fishing in the morning and some nice gag grouper fishing to wrap up the day. I used live pin fish for both trips and you guys were a blast to have on board. I thank you both and great job... Capt. Dan
