Offshore Goodies....

What a gorgeous day to go offshore and Mark and Craig had an awesome trip. I pushed on out to 40ft of water today and the snapper bite was great. The team secured a beautiful limit of keeper mangos, plus some hefty sheepshead as well. We used close to 300 shrimp and it was a busy day of catching. I thank you both and terrific job... Capt. Dan

Cold, Cold, Cold....

My goodness, probably the coldest I've been on the water in sometime; but we made it happen. It's been tough to make it out lately between the weather and my treatments I've been doing. Today though, was definitely doable, just the cold to contend with and we did well. I had the boys on board and we stayed busy offshore with grunts, snapper, grouper and sheepshead. A busy day catching and live shrimp was our bait of choice... Capt. Dan

Wow... Some big dogs on today's trip with the Swain team and once again we pushed offshore quite a bit. The seas were a bit bumpy, but doable with a good ground swell that made you have your sea legs. Jim and Jimmy did a really nice job turning some big ones and a whopper at around 20lbs topped off our day. Just dropping down pin fish did the trick and a couple mangos were added as well. I thank you both and I'll see you next time... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Mango's....

The Hill family was on board with me today and we sure had the weather to go offshore. I loaded the box with 300 shrimp and we headed West. I pulled up to one of the pieces of bottom that was holding fish a couple weeks ago and it was one stop shopping. The team just about put a limit of 30 mango's on ice, plus lots of action with grouper, grunts and hogfish. The kids were great and I thank you all for the super day... Capt. Dan

Offshore Fun Day Three...

Day three with Uncle Phil and not to sound like a broken record, but really good fishing and absolutely beautiful weather. The big difference today was my goodness, the sheepshead were fired up. They were almost on the surface in a ball behind the boat eating the shrimp we were using. We just kept a couple and released close to 40 I bet. Lots of quality gags as well were released and the grouper season is looking VERY VERY good. Great job as always.... Capt. Dan

More Crystal River Offshore...

The picture perfect weather continues and Phil and I had a blast for his day two. We pretty much stayed offshore for the day bouncing around and catching a mixed offshore assortment. You really can't beat the action and for rod bending fun, it's definitely where its at - plus the fish are tasty. A great time and I'll see you tomorrow... Capt. Dan

Crystal River Mix....

Uncle Phil is in town and we made it happen on a really beautiful day. We spent the day both inshore and offshore catching a mix of snook in the morning and an afternoon of mangroves and other goodies. The oyster bars produced the snook with DOA glow jerk baits and we sent down some live shrimp for the rest of the mixed bag. The conditions couldn't have been better and it really was a fun day... Crystal River Offshore....

Another sheet of glass kind of day offshore and John, Bill and Wayne had a great trip. We pushed on out and sent down our shrimp. Lots of awesome action with snapper, hog fish, grouper, grunts and sheepshead. The snapper bite was a little bit slower than yesterday, but the sheepshead were really wound up. Some schools of bonito were on the surface and a few bait fish schools. Spring is trying to make it's way. Great job guys and I thank you.... Capt. Dan

Good Weather, Hot Action....

FINALLY!!! Yes folks, we finally got a break in the weather and it sure was a beautiful day. I haven't been able to make it offshore in three weeks from the winds and rough seas, but today Fred and Bill had it as good as it gets. We set up on the rocks and had non-stop action all day. The usual reef species kept us busy and the guys had an awesome catch. The last couple days I've serviced the boats and trailers - come on spring I'm ready... Capt. Dan

Fast Action....

Scott and Tom sure had an awesome trip today and the fishing was really on. The snapper bite was extremely good and the sheepshead too. Fast action was the theme of the day and we had a really great catch of both species, in no time. A couple bonito were milling around the surface as well, so Tom got to pull on one before we wrapped up the trip. Great job guys and I thank you... Capt. Dan
