Another good day on the grouper grounds with the Stribling party and we found the red grouper again. For those of you that don't know, we've had a red tide offshore this year in the deeper region and it has pushed the red grouper in shallow. I've been targeting the 25ft range and the red grouper action has been unbelievable. Cut thread fin herring and live pin fish have been the baits and they have worked fantastic. On today's trip we had a 1pm shore lunch on schedule, so we made a quick run offshore and caught some fine grouper. The shore lunch was awesome with fried grouper, red fish, grunts and snapper.
