Homosassa SLOW.....

Written by

When the bites hot its hot, but when it's not- it makes for some slow fishing. That was the case across the board for us today at the Homosassa Fishing Club, fishing the Turman party. I had Stewart, Charlie and Lyle on board and we stayed inshore and worked for some trout; before our 12:30 shore lunch. From the shallow flats to the 8ft depth range I covered it all. The guys caught two keeper trout and a bonus keeper gag grouper while jigging for trout. That was it though for keepers, while the by-catch of blue fish, lady fish, sea bass and lizard fish kept it interesting. The afternoon lunch was great and a fun couple days was had by the entire fourteen man group. Here's Charlie with a keeper gag grouper that was a pleasant surprise while on the flats... Capt. Dan
