Crystal River Trolling Gags ....

Written by
A little choppy today offshore, but Jim and Terry were ready to give some Crystal River grouper trolling a try. I met the guys at Pete's Pier Marina this morning and made our way offshore to about the 28ft range. We sent down the plugs over some hard bottom ledges and found some nice grouper. The hot color plugs for the day were the bunker and chartreuse and silver Rapala x-rap 20's. We caught our four gags pretty quick and stopped on a rock pile pile to catch a little variety of species. Mangrove snapper, mackerel and grunts were keeping us busy and a live shrimp on a 1/8thoz Hank Brown jig head was the bait of choice. I thank you both for the great day and enjoy all the fish...
