This grouper season has been incredible and today was one of the best yet. Larry, Ben and Kenny joined me for a Crystal River Grouper Charter and the bite was on. I made a run to 11ft of water and trolled over a low profile rock and "wham", first fish on. As we reeled in that fish, several others were following; so we pitched back a plug and fish number two was on. We repeated that process twice and had four fish in the boat in a matter of minutes. It was fantastic action and I didn't want to deplete the rock, so a quick run to 20ft and we were in the fish again. A couple drops, a couple more keepers and "wow" we had a day. This is going to be the last decent day for a while with some cold and gusty weather coming. Hopefully by mid week, the conditions will improve and I'll be back on the water.
