An awesome day on the trout with the Lent family on board and we had to work for the trout, but we got'em... Bill, Karen and Pam joined me for the day and we began the day with DOA jerk baits in the shallow water doing pretty good on the trout. The team picked up seven nice keepers on a couple drifts before we made our way offshore. The next stop, we jigged the spotty bottom areas in 7ft of water and we finished off our limit of nice keepers on MirrOlure bourbon Lil Johns. A great day and I can't wait until next time... Capt. A little different game plan today and we made a run offshore and fished the rocks. I had the pleasure of having Dan, Alex and Brian on board visiting for spring break and we kept the rods bent today. There wasn't much water to work with for red fish, but the team picked up a quick keeper before it got to dry. Next up, I made a run to 17ft of water and we had steady action with grouper, mackerel, grunts, blue runners etc.... Live shrimp on knocker rigs and also some free lined did the trick. A couple trout filled out the afternoon and we beat the rain in, just in time. A great day and I thank you all so much for the fun time. Here's Alex with one of today's grouper... Capt. Dan

A great time with Todd and Tom and it's been a couple years since we've all fished together. We had to work for the keepers today, as we officially found every short trout in the gulf... Eventually, we picked up a keeper here and there and the guys had a great catch. We did have a nice snook on, that chewed through the leader; but we did get to see him anyway. A fun time and I thank you both as always and I look forward to next time... Capt. Dan

What a beautiful day with Jen and Josh out of Crystal River and we had a slam. Trout, red fish and snook filled out our day and it's always a treat to catch the big three. The trout bite was good on MirrOlure Lil Johns, while the red fish and snook came on DOA glow holographic jerk baits. We kept a limit of trout and a fine red fish take home to dinner and released all the others to fight another day. I really enjoyed the day with you and I thank you for the fun time... Capt. Dan

Always a fun day with Joe, Deanna and Rich and today we spent the day offshore jigging up some trout. I made a run to the 8ft range with some spotty bottom and we did well. Loaded with MirrOlure Lil Johns, we caught several fine keepers trout, grouper, Spanish mackerel and other odds and ends for the day. Bourbon was the hot color today and I thank you all for the fun time... Capt. Dan

Always a fun time with the Taylor family and on today's Crystal River charter, we had a good assortment. The morning began jigging up a nice catch of trout on MirrOlure Lil' Johns and DOA glow cal shad tail jigs. The team put fifteen fine trout on ice in a couple drifts and we then made our way to a sheepshead stop. We anchored up and had some steady action on grouper and sheepshead for an hour or so, before we made our way back inshore. Wow!!! Another fantastic trip, and back to back slams. John and Skeeter were on board with me for the day and the guys had a blast. We began the trip with jerk baits and did well on the trout. Not as many big keepers today, but lots of action with shorts; plus a pair of bonus snook. The DOA glow jerk baits once again did their job. I made a run south for the afternoon and the team free lined live shrimp around the points and brought in several fine red fish to wrap up the day. A really fun time and I thank you both very much... We hit the big three today - snook, trout and red fish with Chris and Scott on board and the guys had an awesome time. We stayed inshore all day and targeted oyster bars, flats, rock bars, points, etc... and did well. I had DOA jerk baits on all day and we covered all the species on one lure. I did eventually, up my leader to 30lb fluorocarbon; as the first snook cut through the leader to start the day. The action was great and I thank you both for the fun time... Capt. Dan

What a weird weather day from fog, rain and in and out sun.... I had a great day though with Scott and Steve and the great trout bite continues. The red fish cooperated a little better and we caught a few shorts and a nice slot fish before we began trout fishing. The trout fishing was as good as it could be, and in a couple drifts on the shallow rock bars; we had fifteen beautiful trout. DOA glow jerk baits did the trick and I thank you both for the fun time... Capt. Dan
