With a week of cold temperatures and howling winds, today was the day we've been waiting for. I apologize for the lack of fishing reports, but I've had to reschedule/cancel several charters all week from the drastic weather condition's. I thank you all for your patience and today's charter was definitely worth the wait. Scott, Aaron and Paulette were my guest out of Crystal River and even though there was a little ice on the boat this morning, the bite was on. We were welcomed to a light chop on the gulf this morning and our next stop were the sheephead grounds. The water temperature is in the upper 50's and this has the sheepshead in a feeding frenzy. Live shrimp on a knocker rig was the bait of choice for the sheepshead. Having a good catch in the cooler and the tide making high, we ran back inshore, tied on some DOA glow jerk-baits and caught some beautiful trout. We eased along the oyster bars and every bar that had mullet activity had trout on it. We added a couple to the days total and called it a day. I thank you all for the fun time and congratulation's on an outstanding catch... Capt. Dan
