The Homosassa trout bite was as just as good as the Crystal River grouper trip yesterday. I was at the Homosassa Fishing Club today with fellow Homosassa Guides Association Captains Mark Zorn, William Toney, Jim Long and Charlie Harris for the Watson party. The winds howled, but for a change, they were out of the West and the trout turned on. I had Jay, Brad and Smitty on board and these gentlemen did a great job on the trout. Working the shallow kelp beds and yellow bottom areas, the guys had their 20 fish limit and released several others for the day. The combinations of Mirrolure Lil' John's and DOA shrimp in the glow color, were the top baits of the day. All the boats had outstanding catches as well and it was just about as good as it gets.
