Crystal River Fishing Charters & Homosassa Charters

There's so much to talk about today's fantastic Crystal River charter from the great grouper bites, to the unbelievable trout and mackerel action. Merrill was my solo man charter today and he had a day of a lifetime. Leaving from Pete's Pier marina we ran offshore, trolled up a pair of 24" gags, released several others and made our way inshore for some trout action. I made a quick stop in the 8ft depth range and the bite was "ON". Mackerel after mackerel and numerous keeper sized trout kept us busy for several hours. The big surprise was when a large school off big breeder bull red fish came by the boat and we hooked into some big ones. We had a couple break our lines, but the one we landed was around the 40" mark and what a beautiful fish it was. A run to the creeks finished out the day and a couple more red fish sealed the deal.
