Winter is officially here and the start of December has been cold. I have had to reschedule several charters due to the weather and for the upcoming week it looks like I am going to have to do the same. However, on a good note we had a geat couple days out of Homosassa. Myself and Captains Mark Zorn and William Toney fished the Craft party to a great couple days of catching some sheepshead, trout and grouper. Friday we fished a 1/2 day and shore lunch combination and Capt. Z had the top boat with 10 keeper trout, while William and I brought in some tasty sheeepshead for our famous shore lunch. Saturday it was just Capt. Z and I, so we ran offshore and the trout bite was as good as it gets. In less than 30 minutes both boats had their limit and we released several other slot and over slot trout. After the fantastic trout action, I ran offshore and trolled up a few grouper and Capt. Z stayed inshore and did great on the red fish. Thanks to Frank, Bo, Ed and Bill for a great couple of days and awesome job guys on all the fish... Capt. Dan
Today we had the big three; snook, trout and red fish. I met Murry, Bart and Shane at Pete's Pier this morning and made a quick stop in the river to see if the snook were still around. In a few cast we hooked up, and Shane brought a beautiful snook in the boat. In the same area, we had several other followers and a few miss the plug right next to the boat:one even jumped completely out of the water and he was in the 30" class. Next, we ran to the creeks and we found the red fish. 19 red fish made their way to the boat and they were definitely on the feed today. Free lined live shrimp was the ticket and it was one of the best red fishing days I have seen in a while. The guys wanted to add some trout to the mix, so we ran to the 6ft grass flats and caught a mixture of silver and speckled trout with a few mackerel. It was a fantastic day and a great change of pace for me from all the grouper fishing I have been doing; I had a great time myself. Thanks for a fun time and I'll see you next time... Capt. Dan 
I wasn't sure how the weather was going to be today with the forecast calling for breezy conditions, but it turned out to be a good one. I had Michel, Earl and Dan on board this morning and I picked up the crew from the Plantation Inn. We made a quick stop down the river and immediately hooked in to a couple snook. Michel had the hod rod and she went two for six with the ones landed being in the mid 20" class. With the steam slowly starting to rise from the cooling towers at the power plant, I said lets go offshore and give the grouper a try. Well, to be truthful we had to work hard for them today. I must have tried over fifteen locations and all I had to show for it was a hand full of shorts. Looking at my watch it was almost 2:30pm and nothing in the cooler. I made one more stop in the 15ft range and it was game on. Pass after pass we hooked up and in less then 30 minutes we had our limit; and even threw back a couple keepers. I had the pleasure of fishing the Worthington family today, and they were ready to burn off the Thanksgiving turkey reeling in some fish. We left Pete's Pier at 8am and ran a couple miles offshore and trolled up a couple grouper. The grouper bite was just turning on and just as we started to pick up a couple keepers, mother nature chased us inshore. We just about out ran the rain storm, but only a few minutes of rain slowed us down before we started trout fishing. The rain passed and the trout turned on. We caught a mixture of silver and speckled trout on DOA cal jigs and a mackerel to add to the mix. The front finally had passed, then wind switched into high gear; so we called it a day. The weather may have not been the best, but we always catch a few. Thanks guys for the fun day and look forward to our next charter... Capt. Dan
